As a Lead Maintenance Technician, your contributions will be vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and operational efficiency of our properties.
The Lead Maintenance Technician will be tasked with diagnosing issues and executing repairs to uphold the community's physical condition, ensuring that service requests and repairs are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve issues in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, and waste management.
- Assist in organizing work orders and general maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion in line with company standards.
- Prepare vacant apartments and garages for rental readiness, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
- Mentor and oversee the work of Maintenance Technicians I and II.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
- Regularly inspect community grounds and buildings to identify maintenance needs.
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform Hot Works as necessary, including brazing, soldering, and welding in accordance with company standards.
As a Lead Maintenance Technician, you will also enjoy additional benefits such as discounted housing options and cell phone reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, with knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
- Valid driver's license.
- HVAC certification (CFC certifications required or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation with the team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with associates and residents.
- Ability to comprehend policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
- Familiarity with cleaning and chemical supplies, including understanding safety data sheets.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment and its proper use.
- Basic understanding of emergency systems and their operations.
- Familiarity with various paint types and application tools.
