About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a key member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality treatment plans that exceed our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans for clients with special needs.
  • Provide assessment and functional analysis of assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with the training manager and family specialists to review strengths and needs.
  • Design and deliver training sessions for resource parents and employees on behavioral dynamics and strategies.
  • Prepare and present training materials and activities.
  • Consult with the training manager and assigned family specialist to review strengths and needs.
  • Perform all required documentation on each individual resource family after each training session.
  • Develop or update training curriculum for specialized training classes.
  • Provide specialized workshop trainings throughout the year as requested.
  • Respond to behavioral emergencies for children and adults in care on a 24-hour basis.
  • Represent A Place to Call Home in meetings about client behavioral interventions and strategies.
  • Create behavioral strategy plans for clients who do not have Behavioral Treatment Plans.
  • Assist in fielding after-hour calls and handling after-hour emergencies as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in social or behavioral science from an accredited university or college.
  • Experience providing behavioral strategies and interventions to foster home parents and staff for children and adults with special needs.
  • The desire and passion to provide ongoing training support to resource families for children and adults with special needs.
  • Impeccable customer service skills to staff, clients, and families.
  • The ability to communicate professionally with a variety of professionals, staff, families, and individuals with special needs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding individuals and families with whom you work.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the learning capacity to learn other applications.
  • Must exemplify exceptional time and task management.
  • Follow personnel practices, including reporting to work on time, refraining from excessive absenteeism/tardiness, and obtaining prior approval for time-off.
  • Must have reliable transportation and maintain current vehicle registration and insurance, as well as a valid driver's license.

Salary Range

USD $16.00 - $18.00 / Hour
