Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at Stantec. As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining digital file databases for projects using Bentley Projectwise software. You will also facilitate and ensure the quality of drawings and graphic work produced for the team.

Key Responsibilities

* Organize and maintain digital file databases for projects using Bentley Projectwise software
* Facilitate and ensure the quality of drawings and graphic work produced for the team
* Communicate with other team members during 3D model and plan production
* Understand Projectwise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members
* Create and understand custom templates using MicroStation software
* Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production
* Work to meet project timelines

Qualifications

* Experience with civil roadway, utility or rail projects is preferred
* Proficiency in either AutoCAD Civil 3D/REVIT or Microstation is preferred (Bentley training will be provided if required)
* Strong attention to detail and presentation
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player approach to design and problem solving
* Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or GED
* 0-2 years of CAD experience

Work Environment

This is a full-time position in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
