Data Science Specialist

CAS is seeking a skilled Data Science Specialist to join our Content Operations Team. This role applies scientific expertise and analytical skills to maintain the authority of CAS scientific content and controlled vocabulary.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline, along with 1-2 years of related professional experience. Prior experience or certification in controlled vocabulary and taxonomy design and implementation is desirable.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the department and Content Operations functions to support the organization and categorization of domain-specific controlled vocabularies and thesauri.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Leverage data analysis skills to measure and report on progress.
