Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our team at PACCAR. As a key member of our Powertrain Software and Development team, you will be responsible for leading the development, calibration, and in-vehicle verification of Battery Electric Vehicle Charging Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Calibration & System Integration plans for BEV programs, ensuring timely, high-quality, and budget-friendly results.
  • Provide technical feedback on current system performance and proposed product changes, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to promote adherence to PACCAR's software requirements, ensuring seamless integration and quality.
  • Take ownership of Vehicle Systems Integration, System Test, and Development for all Functions of Charging, fostering a culture of excellence and quality.
  • Communicate project status effectively to all levels of management, summarizing technical issues and driving resolution.
Requirements
  • BS in an appropriate technical field required.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of BEV technology, vehicle applications, and standards.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus.
  • Knowledge of charging communication protocols: ISO 15118, DIN, OCPP.
  • Hands-on technical vehicle experience.
  • Experience coordinating technical work within and between organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-directed and resourceful, with a proven ability to innovate and drive results.
