Position Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Contract Type: Full Time - 12 Months (Potential for Permanent Position)

Role Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector will ensure that all maintenance activities, including documentation, are executed in compliance with approved data and uphold airworthiness standards. This role involves conducting preliminary, routine, and in-process inspections on aircraft and/or components to assess their serviceability and airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts initial inspections on aircraft or components based on customer requests or manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensures that maintenance documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Completes final reviews of maintenance work performed.
  • Performs in-progress inspections, including clearance-to-close, torque checks, and dimensional evaluations.
  • Issues return-to-service and airworthiness certifications on serviceable tags and aircraft logbooks as authorized.
  • Records on-the-job training and experience for inclusion in training documentation.
  • Conducts audits of facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitors adherence to scrap bin policies.
  • Provides oversight and assistance on the shop floor.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Exhibits professional conduct with colleagues.
Qualifications:
Airframe Services:
  • At least three (3) years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is mandatory.
Components Services:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in aircraft component maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • F.A.A. Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License, Airframe License, or Repairman Certificate is required.
  • Experience in NDI and previous quality control roles is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is advantageous.
