Key Responsibilities- Community Engagement: Actively participate in court sessions and meetings as a representative of HELPING OURSELVES PURSUE ENRICHMENT INC, providing updates on participant progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Peer Support: Conduct pre- and post-court meetings with individuals to offer support and perform comprehensive needs assessments.
- Education and Resources: Equip participants with knowledge on harm reduction strategies, overdose prevention, and available treatment options to help them achieve their program objectives.
- Legal Assistance: Aid participants in completing necessary legal documents and provide guidance on benefits.
- Referral Coordination: Collaborate with Pretrial Services to maintain communication with participants, facilitating referrals and access to essential services.
- Overdose Prevention: Distribute essential overdose prevention supplies, including fentanyl testing kits and naloxone.
- Intake Support: For those not currently receiving services, assist in completing applications and connect them with behavioral health resources, ensuring they attend intake appointments.
- Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up communications with participants post-release to ensure they receive necessary support and remain aware of court obligations.
- Mentorship: Share personal recovery experiences to inspire and guide participants in developing skills to meet their goals.
- Resource Navigation: Support participants in effectively utilizing community resources.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records in compliance with agency and funding requirements.
- Service Referrals: Identify and refer eligible participants to center-based services as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a peer support training program certified by the State of Arizona.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement organizational strategies and policies.
- Must possess personal experience with behavioral health conditions or substance use issues.
- Experience with incarceration or court processes is essential.
- Minimum age of 21 years as per licensing standards.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and TB screening within the last year.
The salary for this position ranges from $16 to $18 per hour.
