Role Overview:

The Epic Services team at UnitedHealth Group is developing a robust and innovative Epic services capability, leveraging the expertise of our clinical, consulting, delivery, technology, and operations teams. Our Center of Excellence is uniting some of the brightest minds in the industry to enhance our mission of optimizing the health system for everyone. This role involves collaborating with high-performance teams to harness technology and service delivery for improved healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages (design, build, and testing) of small to medium-sized application projects, including Epic software upgrades and the adoption of new functionalities.
  • Provide expert knowledge of the Epic Radiant product for the design, build, and testing of assigned modules.
  • Work closely with end users to design, scope, and implement Epic enhancements, ensuring system configurations meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Offer technical and clinical consultation, including application configuration and integration with third-party applications. Analyze system needs to develop tailored recommendations.
  • Create and maintain workflow documentation, test scripts, and configuration guides for essential application functionalities.
  • Monitor applications in production, including on-call support as necessary.
  • Collaborate with trainers to develop and update application-specific training materials.
  • Build strong relationships with operational stakeholders, customers, and business partners.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Active Epic certification in Radiant with a minimum of 3 years of Epic experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Direct client engagement experience for over 3 years.
  • Knowledge of healthcare domain processes such as clinical documentation workflows and patient management.
  • Willingness to travel 10%-20% as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in PACs support and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities.

  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • In-depth understanding of Epic EMR and its implementation lifecycle.
  • Collaborative and consultative approach with proven success in cross-functional teamwork.
  • Ability to foster strong internal relationships and inspire team members through effective consultative skills.
  • Proven relationship management skills and capability to navigate challenging interpersonal situations.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive and based on various factors, including local labor markets, education, and experience. UnitedHealth Group also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including equity stock purchase and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
