We are seeking a highly qualified Professor to join our team at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) at Michigan State University. As a leading research institution, we are committed to advancing the field of rare isotope science and providing a world-class education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research efforts in rare isotope science, including supervision of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers
  • Conduct research with rare isotopes to enhance the reputation and visibility of the facility
  • Develop methods to improve FRIB fragment separation and reduce the time and effort necessary to deliver rare isotope beams
  • Operate fragment separators, beamlines, and experimental devices
Requirements
  • PhD in Nuclear Physics or related field with 10+ years of experience
  • Record of accomplishments in rare isotope nuclear science and establishment of a world-recognized research program
  • Demonstrated expertise in experimental techniques in nuclear science, ion optics, and instrumentation
