Burn Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team at Research Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with complex burn injuries.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and throughout their stay, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic response, notifying providers and intervening as necessary.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations before procedures, including review of medical history and diagnostic tests, and ensure patients and families understand the process.
- Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals, and teach-back.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, ensuring clear understanding among patients, physicians, and colleagues, and escalating care concerns as needed.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse licensure and a Registered Nurse Diploma.
