About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Operations Manager to oversee the Shipping/Receiving and Picking/Packing departments at Jack Richeson & Co., Inc. This role is responsible for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Shipping/Receiving and Picking/Packing departments to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to manage inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production.
  • Implement and maintain processes for inventory control and materials management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall logistics and distribution efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements within the distribution center.
  • Develop and lead a team, providing coaching and support to ensure high performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Handle and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and purchasing practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement solutions quickly.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
