Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. You will work under the direction of a radiologist and assume responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned. Your duties will include reviewing patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols. You will also transport patients to and from the exam room and assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment. Additionally, you will perform Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures and observe patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort. You will administer contrast materials as required and be able to initiate emergency response to contrast reactions as needed. You will also obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation as required by IR procedure protocols. You will utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the coordination of daily workflow for the department's activities, maintaining equipment in efficient operating order, performing and documenting all required quality control testing, and contacting service for repair and maintenance as directed. You will rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate and participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed. You will maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas and maintain stock and inventory as assigned. You will also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT Vocational/Specialized Training Required. Licenses and Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRTLC) Valid and current AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider course and must be provided prior to start date Required.

Work Environment:

This is a Full-Time Traveler opportunity. The incumbent will support the Network Float Pool traveling to all of HonorHealth facilities. Day. Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Holiday and rotating weekends.
