Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Under the direction of a radiologist, you will review patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols. You will also transport patients to and from the exam room, assist them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment, and perform Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures.
As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for obtaining and evaluating images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation as required by IR procedure protocols. You will also utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
In addition to your technical skills, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment in efficient operating order, performing and documenting all required quality control testing, and contacting service for repair and maintenance as directed.
You will also participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff as needed, and maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas.
Qualifications for this role include an Associate's Degree from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT vocational/specialized training, a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRTLC) license, and a valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required, and must be provided prior to start date.
