The Opportunity

This role requires an individual who can provide an exceptional patient experience as a Medical Assistant (known internally as Medical Member Support Specialist/Lab Service Specialist). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing venipuncture, dispensary responsibilities, and other clinical support services.

  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Dispensary responsibilities include verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving, stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pick-up

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and possess a strong grasp of verbal and written communication. A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks is also required.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
