We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our team at STGi. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and dispense medication orders in accordance with pharmacy policy and procedures.
  • Read and interpret individual prescriptions, determining the name of the drug, strength, and dosage.
  • Correlate instructions on the prescription with pharmacy policy limitations and note any discrepancies.
  • Set up prescriptions by obtaining the correct drug stock, counting the correct amount of medication, and placing it in smaller containers.
  • Perform final checks on filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy and quality.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a pharmacy technician program accredited by The American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
  • Certified by The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to pass a federal government security background check.
Working Conditions:

Pharmacy Technicians will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. They will be required to stand for long periods, walk, and perform CPR/emergency care as needed.
