Job Description

The Director of Environmental Health and Safety will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety program that meets or exceeds industry standards. This will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a safety manual and related policies
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Providing training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborating with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture
  • Managing and mentoring the safety departments of affiliate companies

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of experience in construction or industrial safety. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field, such as administration, management, construction, engineering, health or safety, medicine, or science
  • At least 10 years of experience in construction or industrial safety, with at least 5 years of senior management level experience
  • Knowledge of underground utility, foundation, overhead transmission and distribution electric, and highway/bridge work
  • Applicable health or safety certification or licensure, such as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
