Laboratory Director

The Laboratory Director is responsible for leading the operation of a division of the Laboratory, including Customer Support, Preanalytic Hub, Analytic Hub, Loma Linda Environs, and Murrieta Environs. In conjunction with the Medical Director and senior Laboratory management, the Director formulates goals, sets priorities, assigns responsibilities, and establishes timelines for the Laboratory division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate goals and objectives for the Laboratory division
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve divisional goals
• Lead and manage a team of Laboratory professionals
• Collaborate with Medical Director and senior Laboratory management to establish divisional priorities
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, rules, and laws

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Six years of relevant experience in high complexity, computerized clinical laboratory as licensed CLS required with Bachelor's degree
• Four years of experience required with Master's degree
• One year of supervisory or Clinical Lab Scientist Lead experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification
• Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLS (BOR) or Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) certification preferred
• Specialty certification in area supervised preferred
