Role Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineering Project Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting project management and field operations. Your expertise in CAD design, construction estimation, and civil engineering principles will be essential in driving our competitive edge in project bidding.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Processing detailed project design files and preparing precise construction CAD models.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D to create site layout files and 3D surface models for construction projects.
  • Collaborating with field supervisors to gather data and produce as-built drawings.
  • Engaging with top-tier design firms to obtain necessary design and survey control files.
  • Leading initiatives in innovative design techniques and procedures.
  • Conducting cut/fill analyses and earthworks take-offs critical to the bidding process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Computer Drafting or Engineering Technology, along with two years of relevant experience in CAD, estimating, land surveying, or field operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • A solid understanding of civil engineering infrastructure projects, including utilities, paving, and drainage.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.
  • OSHA 10 certification and first aid/CPR certification are preferred.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment are essential for success in this role.

Work Schedule

The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, with potential adjustments during peak construction seasons.
