Job Summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospitalist team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our hospital's clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide evidence-based treatments to patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures, and engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in hospital medicine.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to new staff members and students, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork within our hospital.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to patients with complex medical conditions. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-based setting, communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
