Position Overview

Join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

Role Summary: This position is responsible for delivering trauma-informed diagnostic evaluations and enhanced evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families. The specialist will work collaboratively with case managers, psychiatric professionals, and other service providers to ensure optimal care for clients. Emergency crisis intervention and assessment will be provided as necessary. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on implementing evidence-based practices, such as Trauma Systems Therapy, with integrity.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (psychology, social work, marriage/family therapy, etc.) is essential.
  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure in Rhode Island as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor.
  • Experience with children who have experienced trauma is preferred.
  • Proficient in using various medical record software, word processing, and database applications.
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred and will be compensated.
  • Flexible working hours, including some evenings, are required.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bilingual capabilities will receive an additional 6% compensation above the base salary.

Physical Demands: This role requires both residential and community visits. Candidates must possess the ability to:

  • Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and appropriate auto insurance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Travel to various locations, which may involve navigating walkways, stairs, and elevators.
  • Lift items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Work both remotely and in-person while adhering to privacy regulations.
