Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to complete maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, including documentation of repairs and inspections.
  • Perform safety inspections of equipment and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in vehicle maintenance preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in vehicle maintenance or completion of a vehicle maintenance program.
  • ASE certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of maintenance software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas and potential hazards.
  • Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
  • May be required to drive service vehicles to off-site locations.
  • Exposure to climate conditions and potential exposure to chemicals and other irritants.
