Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using SQL and AWS technologies.
  • Develop analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Support hosted applications on existing technology infrastructure and develop strategies for next-generation efforts.
  • Manage and maintain the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of SQL-related software and hardware.
  • Implement and support databases, storage systems, high-availability solutions, replication, encryption, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Maintain SQL databases associated with production and non-production environments, facilitating accurate testing and deployment of internally developed applications.
  • Ensure data separation and security across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with relational SQL databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostGres.
  • Advanced PLSQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and working familiarity with various databases.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • SQL Server Administration (SSMS, SQL clustering, Data Synchronization, Encryption, Partitioning, Performance, and Security), T-SQL.
  • Solid understanding of the software development process, including requirement gathering, analysis/design, development tools/technologies, release/version control, contemporary testing methodologies.
  • Strong experience with SQL query performance tuning.
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Gitlab.
