- Evaluate Financial Controls: Evaluate the efficiency of financial controls and improve them continuously.
- Communicate with Management and Audit Committee: Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee, discussing existing and emerging financial and operational risks.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with our organization's policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as uniform guidance, yellow book audits, single audits, and employee benefit audits.
- Develop Business Process Knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of business processes in scope for assigned audits and identify operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with External Auditors: Collaborate with external auditors as needed.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Continuously update knowledge of industry trends and developments to ensure our organization's readiness for external audits.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA, CIA, CFE) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in auditing, preferably within the finance industry. Experience with external audits, financial audits, uniform guidance, yellow book audits, single audits, and employee benefit audits is a must.
- Skills: Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team of auditors. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proven track record of maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
