Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Core Duties:

    • Welcome patients in alignment with the organization's customer service standards.

    • Manage and confirm patient appointments, informing them of necessary documentation for their visits (such as co-pays and paperwork).

    • Perform data entry tasks within electronic health record systems.

    • Complete all financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

    • Verify insurance and demographic details at each visit, updating records as needed.

    • Collect co-payments when applicable.

    • Answer incoming calls courteously and direct them to the appropriate staff.

    • Monitor the waiting area to ensure timely patient flow.

    • Review the provider's schedule daily for any updates.

    • Receive daily reports for information on patients with upcoming appointments.

    • Balance daily transactions and submit collected funds to the designated supervisor.

    • Distribute daily mail and maintain a tidy lobby area.

    • Travel to various clinic locations as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain regular attendance, with flexibility to adjust hours based on clinic needs.

• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Adhere to the employee manual and conduct oneself professionally.

• Participate in all required training sessions mandated by the organization and its partners.

• Stay informed about updates regarding insurance policies and communicate changes to the supervisor.

• Report any relevant updates discovered through other channels to the supervisor.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
