Avionics Technician II Job Description

At StandardAero, we're committed to excellence in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field. As an Avionics Technician II, you'll play a critical role in our team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform avionics systems modifications and maintenance functions to customer specifications, FAA standards, and Repair Station Manual.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Assemble components, such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Connect components to assemblies, including radio systems, instruments, and inverters, using hand tools and soldering irons.
  • Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.
  • Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
  • Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems, following documentation, blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters.
  • Assemble prototypes or models of circuits, instruments, and systems for testing.
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
Requirements:
  • Gulfstream aircraft avionics or corporate jet avionics experience.
