The primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the store manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the convenience store, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and store appearance.
- Complete daily and shift paperwork, including sales reports, inventory management, and employee scheduling.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, and receiving merchandise to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including cleaning floors, glass doors, counter surfaces, and restrooms.
- Accurately process sales transactions and maintain proper accountability at the cash register.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and advertisements to effectively communicate with customers.
- Assist in training and developing employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service.
- Discipline employees as needed, using appropriate documentation.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the store manager to ensure the store is adequately staffed and that all shifts are covered.
- Report any unusual occurrences, environmental or maintenance issues to the store manager.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and/or nights as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in retail and customer service, with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Valid driver's license.
