Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and categorizing wood blanks for high-quality baseball bat production.
  • Preparing, sorting, and classifying bats for subsequent production phases.
  • Identifying various wood types accurately.
  • Efficiently operating necessary machinery and tools, such as mitre saws, pallet jacks, and routing tables.
  • Ensuring work areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally demanding environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of production equipment or the capacity to learn quickly.
  • Adaptability and proficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Utilizes knowledge and skills to accomplish tasks within designated areas.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of standing, tool usage, and repetitive motions that require frequent bending and stooping.
  • Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
