Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse II is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the ICU setting. As a critical care nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and promote patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a nursing program: diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate program.
- At least 3 months of experience as a Registered Nurse II.
- Valid and Current Vermont Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of hire.
