Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team at the Fairfield Inn in Littleton, CO. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel and restaurant areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of public and guest areas, including corridors, guest rooms, service areas, and linen closets.
  • Empty housekeepers' trash and linen bags, and deposit linen down chutes and carry trash to dumpsters.
  • Vacuum corridors and/or guest rooms, and deliver rollaway and cribs to guest rooms.
  • Turn mattresses as directed by management, and stock supplies needed for linen closets.
  • Vacuum public areas, sweep and mop service landings, and mop vending machine areas.
  • Check public restrooms for cleanliness several times daily, and ensure fire doors are open on each floor.
  • Assist with luggage handling, and clean rooms when needed.
  • Change bed linen daily, vacuum carpeting, and dust all furniture.
  • Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, shiny surfaces, and windows.
  • Thoroughly clean the bathroom area, including the shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, and other fixtures.
  • Ensure that the standard room set-up is complied with, and report immediately any damage or missing items found in rooms.
  • Notify the Housekeeping Supervisor of all rollaways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.
  • Take responsibility for pass keys and ensure they are turned in daily.
  • Turn in immediately all 'lost and found' items to the supervisor.
  • Report any unusual situations, such as no luggage, no service needed, sleep outs, extra guests, or anything else that may require attention.
  • Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving rooms.
  • Check lights and change bulbs as needed.
  • Maintain the outside grounds daily, and assist in the unloading of deliveries and proper storage of such.
  • Sort linens for washing, remove stains from badly soiled linen, and operate washers and dryers properly.
  • Fold all linens to hotel standards, wash banquet and kitchen laundry, and wash bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets as instructed.
  • Keep the laundry area neat and clean, and check daily for all banquet and restaurant linen needs.
  • Handle all laundry chemical products properly, and advise the Housekeeper of inventory levels.
  • Assist other Housekeepers in other areas when laundry is slow or work is caught up.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must have knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques.
  • Must have the ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment, and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must have good communication skills, with Spanish-speaking skills a plus.
  • Must be team-oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service and ensuring that the brand's highest standards are met.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and may be asked to use their personal vehicle for business purposes at any time.
