Job Title: Delivery Helper

Levin Furniture and Mattress is seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Helper to join our team in Smithton, PA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist with the delivery and setup of home furnishings and appliances. As a Delivery Helper, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload and load merchandise from trucks, and set up home furnishings and appliances in customers' homes.
  • Practice safe and secure material handling methods to prevent damage to merchandise and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Verify sales orders and customer information prior to delivery to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Operate manual and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently to perform delivery duties.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in furniture or appliance moving, or similar experience is strongly preferred.
  • Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Obtain and maintain a DOT physical card.
  • Ability to lift and move cartons weighing approximately lbs. repetitively.
Work Environment:

This role will involve working in a residential, retail, and warehouse environment, with a variable schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00am until completion of deliveries.

Compensation and Benefits:

Levin Furniture and Mattress offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting rate of $18/hour, plus a bonus up to $6.40/hour, and tips. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), and PTO.
