Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI/X-Ray Technologist to join our team at MRI Associates. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging scanners to create diagnostic images, maintaining imaging equipment, and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Imaging Equipment: Operate MRI scanners to create high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring optimal patient positioning and safety.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care, addressing concerns, and explaining procedures in a clear and reassuring manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment, ensuring it operates properly and efficiently.
  • Image Upload: Accurately upload patient images to the picture archiving and communication system in a timely manner.
  • Calibration and Quality Control: Conduct weekly MRI equipment calibration to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Patient Safety: Pre-screen patients for contraindications before procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to new technologists, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact effectively with patients, technologists, and physicians, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Education: Certificate, diploma, or associate's degree in MRI technology and X-Ray certification.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience as an MRI Technologist in clinical environments, with ability to perform X-Rays.
  • Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification and current Florida State License.
  • Skills: Ability to use medical imaging processing software/equipment, learn radiology information systems (RIS), electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and picture archiving and communications (PAC) systems.
