In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials onto the powdercoat line, ensuring the application of powder to parts according to customer specifications. You will also conduct inspections to verify that work meets both customer and quality standards, maintaining high quality to achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe and inclusive work environment by adhering to all safety policies and utilizing personal protective equipment.
- Interpret travel documents, blueprints, and instructions to effectively load, unload, set up, and operate the powdercoat line.
- Monitor job progress and communicate any concerns to ensure timely completion.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and conduct root cause analysis for quality or production issues.
- Ensure quality by measuring finished parts with tools such as tape measures and calipers, performing visual inspections, and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Participate in cross-training to support various roles within the team as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Residence within a specified radius of the facility is required.
Preferred:
- Experience with reading blueprints and manufacturing diagrams.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
- Knowledge of Eaton systems including DMM and AS-400.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
