Our product line encompasses a wide range of conveyor belting, conveying equipment, and components, as well as belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gaskets, and power transmission products.
Job Responsibilities- Design and fabricate conveyor belts and related products in-house or at customer sites.
- Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting.
- Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies, maintaining stock areas and following sales orders.
- Ensure attention to detail and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.
- Perform duties to fabricate, install, and repair conveyor belting.
- Work safely, adhering to strict regulations and guidelines.
- Detect and report defective equipment, materials, or improper operations.
- Represent Belt Power professionally at all times.
- Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent mechanical background and ability to interpret precise measurements.
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights and in tight spaces.
- Overtime hours and weekend work may be required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
The Belt Technician will work in a fabrication shop environment, with moderate noise levels and well-ventilated and well-lit conditions. Protective clothing may be required, and operation of heavy equipment and adherence to strict safety regulations are essential.
The position requires manual dexterity and strength to handle equipment controls, tools, and other items. Standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods may be necessary.
Pay and BenefitsThis is a full-time position with typical workdays and hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional weekend work. The pay range is $18.00 - $19.00 an hour.
