Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a lively and engaging store environment for customers and colleagues
  2. Engage multiple clients at the cash wrap and create a lasting impression by offering personalized service
  3. Accurately and efficiently process register/POS transactions, sales, returns, exchanges, and more
  4. Ensure accurate pricing and ringing of merchandise, using price overrides when necessary
  5. Manage customer expectations, clearly communicating product information, care, maintenance, and delivery
  6. Confirm purchases and offer additional merchandise suggestions to complement initial selections
  7. Inform clients of relevant promotions that may impact sales
  8. Share product information, in-store events, and workshops to enhance the customer experience
  9. Maintain visual standards and supplies of the cash wrap area
  10. Maximize resources to meet customer needs and resolve issues
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by management, adhering to Company policies and procedures
  12. Foster an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, aligning with our People-First Philosophy

Criteria

  1. Proven ability to close sales and exceed goals
  2. Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, thinking outside the box
  3. Passionate about creating lasting relationships with customers, capturing contacts, and promoting Williams-Sonoma services
  4. Ability to understand customer needs and preferences
  5. Succeed in a team environment while working independently and managing your own tasks
  6. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  7. 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role
  8. Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  9. Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
  10. Ability to operate the POS system
  11. Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing safety techniques
