Job Title: Head Speech Coach

Glencoe-Silver Lake Public Schools is seeking a motivated individual to lead our speech team as the Head Speech Coach for the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive speech program that fosters the growth and development of our students. This includes coaching teams for various speech and debate events, providing guidance on speech writing and delivery, and promoting a positive and supportive team culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a speech program that aligns with the school's mission and values
  • Coach teams for speech and debate events, including preparation and performance
  • Provide guidance on speech writing and delivery techniques
  • Recruit and manage team members, including tryouts and team selection
  • Communicate with parents, students, and staff to promote the speech program and its goals
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in speech and debate coaching, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work with students of varying skill levels. A background in education or a related field is preferred.
