Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available for cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and safety protocols are followed.
  • Set up and maintain surgical equipment, including monitoring and troubleshooting during procedures.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon throughout the procedure, providing prompt and accurate assistance.
  • Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records of instrument counts and surgical supplies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and promote optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Must be a Certified Surgical Tech through the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Please include candidate CST# and expiration date.
  • Must have at least one year, to date, of CVOR Certified Surgical Technician experience.
  • Proficient in preparing and using cardiovascular surgical instruments and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of sterile techniques, infection control, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons during cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the surgical team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records and document procedures.
