Lead Cashier Role at Aramark

The Lead Cashier is essential in guaranteeing that every guest enjoys a remarkable experience at our establishment by effectively managing tasks with a focus on customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities encompass training fellow cashiers, supervising front-of-house operations, processing financial transactions, overseeing inventory management, and assigning duties to cashiers while providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently operate a register/POS system and manage cash and credit transactions.
  • Welcome and assist customers with exemplary service, proactively addressing their needs.
  • Organize and assign work tasks to the team, ensuring timely completion.
  • Educate staff on customer service excellence, cash handling procedures, product knowledge, and relevant processes.
  • Distribute change to cashiers and verify bag deposits.
  • Ensure cash drawer accuracy, complete cashier reports, and conduct deposits.
  • Comply with cash handling policies and protocols.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures in accordance with operational hours.
  • Monitor stock levels, restock items as needed, and arrange products for optimal inventory management.
  • Contribute to the cleanliness and sanitation of the location during service hours and at closing time.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service and cash management.
  • Strong proficiency in basic mathematics and counting.
  • Experience in a supervisory or similar capacity is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adherence to dress code standards and workplace policies.
  • Completion of Food Handling and alcohol service training as required.

This position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary.
