Role Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will possess advanced expertise in the physiological, psychological, and therapeutic aspects pertinent to patients in an ambulatory setting. This role entails delivering patient care through a systematic nursing process that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring compliance with State Standards, Hospital, and ASC accreditation requirements. The RN will guide patient education and oversee the activities of support staff while upholding professional nursing standards. Additionally, the RN will mentor new nursing staff and is responsible for interpreting physician orders and administering medications and intravenous solutions in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The RN will also conduct chart audits and collect data for performance improvement initiatives mandated by the hospital and GI Services Center.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Arkansas. BLS and ACLS certifications are required upon hire or within six months. A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred, with knowledge in preoperative and postoperative care for adult and geriatric patients. Proficiency in English is necessary. The ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods and to work flexible hours is essential. Candidates must meet the criteria outlined in the staff RN job description and contribute to meeting State accreditation standards.
