Role Summary

The Guest Services Representative is responsible for managing guest reservations and collaborating with the reservation center to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors. This role includes registering guests promptly and courteously while utilizing up-selling techniques to enhance room rates. Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming guests, checking them in, and assigning rooms efficiently.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of guest information and records with utmost integrity.
  • Answering and directing phone calls accurately, while taking messages as needed.
  • Supporting sales and marketing initiatives as directed by management.
  • Facilitating wake-up call requests and ensuring timely responses.
  • Documenting essential guest information in the logbook.
  • Overseeing the cleanliness and replenishment of the continental breakfast area.
  • Ensuring the lobby and common areas are well-maintained.
  • Assisting with laundry tasks as required.
  • Processing guest check-ins and check-outs, including handling payments according to established protocols.
  • Providing information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
  • Arranging transportation for guests when necessary.
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to address guest concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Managing minor guest complaints effectively and reporting significant issues to supervisors.
  • Responding promptly to guest requests and following up to confirm satisfaction.
  • Completing daily financial paperwork, including cash handling and adjustments.
  • Maintaining accurate records of transactions and balancing cash at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Communicating messages using various equipment, including computers and telephones.
  • Exhibiting a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures.
