About the Role

This Truck Technician Roadside Support Specialist position at Penske is focused on providing top-notch service to our customers who require roadside assistance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various maintenance issues on trucks in all weather conditions while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to road assist calls and repair units by identifying parts requiring replacement and documenting warrantable repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs as needed.
  • Restock rapid assist vehicles with tools, parts, tires, or other required supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance or repairs to road assist vehicles as required.
  • Assist with designated in-shop repairs when not out on road calls, under the direction of a supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Vocational/technical certification or specialized training in vehicle component repair and replacement is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using shop tools is essential.
  • A current CDL license with air brake certification is required.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems are beneficial.
  • The ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments is mandatory.
