We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Short Stay Unit at Memorial Health. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiopulmonary diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with chest pain, acute onset atrial fibrillation, heart failure, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, acute PE/DVT, and other cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Administer medications, perform IV insertions, and manage chest tubes and dressings.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Ability to position and transfer patients safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
