Maintenance Supervisor 3 Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor 3 to join our team at the Bronx Psychiatric Center. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities of skilled trades, semiskilled, and unskilled positions, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review maintenance requests to determine necessary materials, equipment, and staff
  • Plan and implement rehabilitation and construction projects
  • Develop and enforce preventative maintenance programs
  • Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure regulatory and code compliance
  • Develop training programs for maintenance staff
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have 2 years of second-level supervisory experience in maintenance and operation of a physical plant, building construction, and/or building renovation and/or repair projects. Alternatively, you may be considered for a competitive class appointment if you are reachable on the current Maintenance Supervisor 3 eligible list or have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
