Clean Tech is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our recycling facility in Dundee, MI. As a key contributor to our success, you will drive process optimization across our flagship operation to continuously improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability, while decreasing costs.
Key Responsibilities- Maximize assigned processes through a hands-on approach, taking ownership of process improvements.
- Review production reports to identify opportunities for reducing downtime, improving performance, and creating work instructions and trouble-shooting documents to support the workforce.
- Analyze data and complete assessments to identify improvement opportunities in spending reduction, cycle time improvement, and value-added labor tasks.
- Gather information from maintenance staff and operators to drive improvements and optimize processes.
- Review parts used in processes to verify best performance for cost, availability, and access, making recommendations for improvements.
- Coordinate, schedule, and participate in preventive maintenance for assigned processes.
- Oversee solution design, planning, implementation, and follow-up to ensure expected results are achieved.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support change management and process stabilization.
- Participate in equipment installations and facility improvements, including business expansions.
- Work with outside suppliers for proposals, quotes, and acquisitions as needed for process improvements.
- Assist in maintenance-related projects in a hands-on approach, with a focus on hands-on maintenance activities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field for manufacturing.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience, inclusive of internship/co-op experiences.
- Working knowledge of developing and implementing process improvements and trouble-shooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Microsoft Office experience with good knowledge of Excel to create tables, trend graphs, and worksheets.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
- $70,000+/year (DOE).
