We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Smile for Life Dentistry. As a key member of our dental support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care and ensure accurate treatment planning.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to support accurate diagnoses.
- Provide superior chairside assistance to supported dentists during a wide range of procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping, ensuring seamless communication and data management.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient practice.
- Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.

- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment.
- If required under the state dental practice act, dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Dentrix or other dental software experience.
- Dental assisting school certification.
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
