Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist medical providers with routine clinical tasks, including Point of Care testing and phlebotomy.
  • Provide direct patient care, completing multiple clinical tasks that are not governed by licensure.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, stocking, and cleaning functions as required.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment, ensuring patient respect, dignity, and confidentiality of health information.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current certification from a national Medical Assistant certification body or obtain within 3 months of hire or transfer.
  • BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required.
  • Working knowledge of and experience with the use of clinical equipment and materials.
