About Medical City Plano

Medical City Plano is a 600+ bed acute care hospital that has been serving the Plano and Collin County community for over 40 years. We are proud to offer a comprehensive range of medical services, including a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit, a high-risk antepartum unit, and a Wound Care Center.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of patient throughput strategies, including capacity planning, volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
  • Direct nursing practice and unit operations, ensuring adherence to standards of care and promoting a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Cultivate a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the annual budget process, including input into department revenue and expense forecasts, staffing, and supply and equipment needs.
  • Monitor department budget performance and develop actions to address performance gaps.
  • Manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • MSN or Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing management position.
  • BLS/ACLS certification as required by individual departments.
