Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician III for the day shift, focusing on maintaining and enhancing our operational efficiency.
Work Schedule: Day Shift: 5am-5pm
Compensation: Pay based on skill level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and facility systems to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Address technical challenges impacting production and uphold electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PM).
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics, perform maintenance, and execute repairs on various plant equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Estimate time requirements for tasks and assess the implications of not meeting deadlines.
- Identify and report any activities that could pose safety risks or cause damage.
- Document root causes of breakdowns and equipment issues for management review.
- Utilize troubleshooting methodologies such as 5 Whys and root cause analysis.
- Ensure all maintenance work meets high-quality standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and meet company targets related to the quality of produced parts.
- Identify spare parts needs and maintain accurate usage logs.
- Assist in developing and executing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Support the relocation and installation of machinery and equipment as needed.
- Leverage the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and data entry.
- Complete job tickets and log work completion in the CMMS.
- Operate lifting equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and report any related issues.
- Document all incidents, including minor accidents, for safety records.
- Promote environmental awareness and adhere to company procedures.
- Foster a safe working environment for all employees by following health, safety, and quality management protocols.
- Participate in special projects and continuous training initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Support departmental training needs and contribute expertise to apprentices and trainees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-craft maintenance environment.
- Preferred leadership experience and skills.
- Ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.
- Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex schematics and diagrams.
- Experience with CNC equipment diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC and electronic drive control systems.
- Experience with connected components and Allen Bradley software is desirable.
- Ability to work with various types of drives, PLCs, HMIs, and software.
- Experience with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
- Robotic experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated initiative and judgment in work methods and goal interpretation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate and engage effectively with team members.
- Strong understanding of people-related processes and procedures.
- Adept at identifying root causes of operational losses.
- Awareness of customer expectations and the impact of quality on business outcomes.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently, both above shoulder height and below waist level.
