Job Opportunity: Direct Support Professional

Access Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our In Home Supports team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Schuylkill Haven, PA, and surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing support to adults with developmental disabilities and Autism, enabling them to live independently in their own homes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing creative support through various tasks, activities, and community engagement to enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Implementing safe crisis management techniques, emotional support, and positive reinforcement as outlined in individual plans of care.
  • Maintaining accurate case notes for the individuals served.
  • Engaging in supervision, training, and professional development to ensure the highest level of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle during work hours.
  • A U.S. driver's license for at least two years (not including time with a permit).
  • Must be listed as a driver on a valid auto insurance policy.
