Senior Auditor - Construction Sector

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as the primary auditor for various engagements, focusing on construction-related entities from a compilation and review standpoint, alongside tax preparation and additional services tailored for this sector.
  • Coordinating and scheduling audit engagements efficiently and effectively.
  • Overseeing junior staff members across nearly all audit assignments.
  • Managing all stages of the audit process, from initial planning to final reporting, ensuring documentation aligns with firm standards, SSARS, and industry best practices.
  • Generating financial statements and comprehensive financial reports for all engagements undertaken.
  • Timely addressing and resolving review comments on completed work, including financial statements, tax filings, and other relevant financial documents.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Accounting or a minimum of 150 credit hours in accounting from an accredited institution is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of auditing experience in public accounting, ideally with a focus on the construction sector.
  • Must be eligible to take the CPA examination; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required.
  • Familiarity with ProSystem fx Engagement and CCH Tax/Axcess is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in communication, interpersonal relations, analytical thinking, and research are crucial.
