Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for leading and managing survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate and timely completion of projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate and timely completion of projects
  • Conduct and manage field surveys, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Layout
  • Develop and implement survey plans and procedures to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure survey data is accurately collected and delivered
  • Manage and maintain survey equipment, including GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in property surveys, including ALTA and Section Line Surveys
  • Experience with GPS, Total Station, and Data Collectors
  • Ability to organize and manage field notes and data
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Experience with boundary research and execution of field staking
  • Strong math skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 80% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with LiDAR, Scanners, and point clouds
  • Oil and Gas Pipeline experience
  • DOT experience

Salary Range:

$25-$40 per hour, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
